Aamir Khan's party for nephew Imran Khan and his bride Avantika on Saturday (Feb 5) at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai was attended by just about everyone who mattered in Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu, and a host of other stars joined the celebrations hosted by Aamir and wife Kiran. And of course, both Shah Rukh and Salman Khan were there as well. So what happened with the two warring stars at the same party? Did Aamir manage to play peacemaker? Sadly, no truce could take place. We hear that Shah Rukh was actually one of the last people to join the party at around 3am (he said he was shooting earlier in the night), Salman had apparently left by then.
At the party, Aamir posed for pics individually with Salman and Shah Rukh but obviously the two fighting Khans were not to be seen together.
So was SRK really busy or did he just want to avoid a confrontation with Sallu, who's made it known that he is still not in the mood to accept an apology after their fight at Katrina's birthday bash three years ago? Does seem like Shah Rukh wanted to keep the peace, and thought that the best thing to do would be to not get in Salman's way.
Meanwhile, Salman and SRK weren't the only guests with a volatile history between them who attended the party. Warring Thackeray cousins Raj and Uddhav were there as well. In their case, Raj who reached the party first, left soon after Uddhav and family walked in.
