It's disappointing news for Rani Mukherji fans who'd hoped to see the star in a Sabyasachi sari at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. Rani was to have attended the fest on May 18 with Sabyasachi as a guest of Chivas, just like Saif Ali Khan. There was a considerable buzz about her choice, as she wasn't going with a Western designer. But now we hear that Rani has had to cancel her visit.Apparently, Rani has informed the Chivas reps that she won't be able to attend this year, despite confirming earlier, as her dad has suddenly taken ill. Rani wants to be in India to take care of him.
Well, there's always another time. Here's to seeing Rani at Cannes in the future.
